About Me
Andrea Thiele, born in Munich, studied Mass Communication at the University of Miami before enrolling at the University of Film and Television Munich. After her Masters Degree in Documentary Film and TV Journalism she directed the Docu-Comedy You Drive Me Crazy which was screened at numerous prestigious festivals such as Leipzig, SXSW, Moscow IFF before being theatrically released in Germany and Switzerland. The film was then shortlisted for the German Lola (Germany’s most important movie award). Link to the official film website.
Since then Thiele has been creating and directing documentary series for German broadcasters (BR, SWR, ARTE and Servus TV) and collaborated on NGO film projects in Haiti, Nepal, Kenya and the US.
